Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

太阳3平台测速 offers a number of options for students to earn 信贷 based on prior learning 或经验. Credit is awarded based on recognized standards and with the approval 的教师. Awarded 信贷 is transcripted in accordance with standards established by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and 入学s Officers (AACRAO).

College Level Examination Program (CLEP):

Credit by Challenge Exam:
学生 may earn course 信贷 by successfully completing an exam or through skill 示范. If you believe you have mastered material presented in a course listed on 太阳3平台测速’s Course Challenge List, you can register for Credit by Examination with 测试 服务. To register, you must be currently enrolled in a 信贷 class or you must have completed 12 学分 at 太阳3平台测速. You must register by Monday of week 2 of a 术语, and you must complete the examination by the end of the seventh week of that same 术语.
Before a Course Challenge can be taken, a nonrefundable processing fee consisting of 30% of the tuition per challenged course per 信贷 hour. An additional testing 可能需要收费. Advanced Placement (AP):
太阳3平台测速 awards 信贷 for courses articulated to AP exams. 学生 who complete college-level work in high school under the Advanced Placement Program sponsored by the College Entrance Examination Board and who receive satisfactory grades (3, 4 or 5) in examinations administered by the board may, on admission to 太阳3平台测速, be granted comparable 信贷 趋近于一个程度. 学生 who meet requirements must submit official scores to receive 信贷. 太阳3平台测速遵循 the score and 学分 to be awarded as established by a statewide agreement among community colleges and public universities. International Baccalaureate (IB):
太阳3平台测速 awards 信贷 for courses articulated to IB exams. 太阳3平台测速 recognizes IB achievement by awarding 信贷 to students who score 4 or above on higher level IB exams. 学生 who meet requirements must submit official scores 获得信用. 太阳3平台测速遵循 the score and 学分 to be awarded as established by a statewide agreement among community colleges and public universities. Credit for Training and Experience

Credit for Military Training:
太阳3平台测速遵循 American Council of Education guidelines in awarding 信贷 for military 培训. Official transcripts from respective branches of the military are required. 太阳3平台测速 grants up to a maximum of 25% of the 学分 needed for a degree or certificate programs of 45 学分 or more. 学生 may request evaluation of military 信贷 by furnishing the Office of 入学s with a Joint 服务 Transcript (JST). 服务 members who present a DD-214 are eligible to be awarded three physical education activity 学分. Student may need to provide an official ACE transcript. 单独的记录 from the US Coast Guard can also be provided and evaluated for 信贷.

Credit for Professional Licensure:
Where appropriate, a professional license may replace up to 25% of the program 学分 toward an AAS degree or certification program of 45 学分 or more. 学生必须 meet with the program faculty to de术语ine the appropriate courses for which the student 将获得信用.
